Sandal Castle and Visitors Centre

Remains of 13th Century stone castle and the fine motte and bailey. The Visitors Centre has an education room which includes displays on the Castle’s history and a shop with gifts and refreshments. An access bridge and steps enable visitors to reach the top of the motte and take in the wonderful views of the lower Calder Valley.
